I also concur with prior replies from other Members.Personally, I use much more of this ink for sampling pen+paper combos that for any other purpose; and that it is easily flushed from a pen makes it well suited to that task.
Every pen I work on gets tested out with aSerenity Blue. Serenity is just a great all-round ink.
What they sell is gold standard ink, they just don't do a great job of reminding us from time to time.I love my expensive designer inks, but when I think "man what should I use" and look at my 100+ ink collection, serenity blue, harmonious green, and blue obsession are always in the top ten.Definitely agree. Again, to repeat myself, if this ink doesn't work well in a pen, it's the pen (or the paper) and not the ink which is on the Fritz. Waterman Serenity Blue, or formerly known as Florida Blue, is an outstanding hassle free ink.
(Though I wonder what ink our dear lapis uses for benchmarking - don't tell me its Lamy Blue!
Just really reliable inks that are easy on the eye and do the job they're supposed to do consistently well. Several functions may not work. The Fountain Pen Network uses (functional) cookies.
Serenity Blue has good flow, with no feathering or bleedthrough on Rhodia paper. The dry times were good at 15-25 seconds. The ink cleans out easily, never gunks up, and you don’t have to worry about it staining the inside of your pen. The color is similiar to Pelikan ("royal blue" type), but a bit darker, which for me makes it much better. This was my second order of Waterman Serenity Blue ink.
And the special edition blue obsession is as good as (if not better) than kon-peki.I think waterman just needs to start adding some more special edition colors every year and maybe put them in a different bottle.

I use Waterman Absolute Brown as my personal journal ink of choice, and it shares many of Serenity Blue's attributes in terms of behavior.
Besides being a nice color, Waterman inks are our go-to recommendation for use in any vintage pens. I think it was Richard who first coined that remark. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.I think this ink (along with all waterman inks) are just not given enough credit. It's not only safe for pens, but it works well for lefties, of which I am one.In the dictionary next to the expression "well-behaved ink" is a picture of this ink.

While the water resistance is low, there are few other inks that clean as easily. If you want a worry free ink that has a nice color for both work and home there is no better option than Serenity Blue. Its also so so easy to clean out with only water when you're done. In a broad nib the ink shades a little, but it is a much more vibrant color.
The dusty blue that is produced with the fine nib shades into a richer navy blue. Still with a little touch of De Atramentis to it The ink in this review I received with my Waterman Carène DeLuxe Fountain Pen.
I don't really use this ink for a "test" of any new pen (although that does sound like a good idea) but I do use it as a test if I have the feeling that any pen is (or has become) too wet or dry.
Even on cheaper paper Serenity Blue does a great job of not feathering. Serenity is just a great all-round ink.
In a finer nib the ink doesn’t shade much and is a straightforward blue. The ink can produce a lovely red sheen when swabbed on the page, but it is hard to achieve when writing with a pen.We recommend Waterman ink for their nice colors, but their consistent properties really stand out.
