One other plus is that recipes are for single loaves — most books have recipes that yield two loaves.

It has recipes for all kinds of baked goods made with sourdough, like breads, baguettes, pretzels, buns, bagels, pizzas.

Sourdough is a stable culture of lactic acid bacteria and yeast in a mixture of flour and water. This book will help me do that.

After many books on high hydration doughs and organic ancient grains, this one is underwhelming to say the least. She has made the world of sourdough meaningful, accessible and just plain yummy.
