I'm a newbie to VNs. And as u/Phoenix-san mentioned below - Never7, Ever17 and … I enjoyed it up to the Rikako reveal, I can't say I liked how her character was handled there, it felt rushed, weird and jarring, like the final episode of Erased, it brought up the same feelings in me, I thought it was decent and the bizarreness of it kept me entertained but I don't think it's very good from a writing standpoint. The way the concept of god was explained, the truth behind the giant monster and stuff, was decent enough, not really anything that had me gasping in shock, but decently satisfying explanation, I liked the themes with the whole god thing actually, it was pretty interesting. I couldn't stop reading the entire time, finished the entirety of Darkness in one sitting yesterday and the entirety of Myth and all the key collection that lead up to it today, played so much Raging Loop my head hurts now lmao, but it was just so addicting I couldn't stop. The problem in raging loop however is that the explanations are half assed and the whole ending explanations are ridiculous and/or nonsensical, especially the last scenes with the wolves, Hashi and Mamiya. I still have no idea what's going on with Meiko still. My favorite reveal was probably that the Miguruma were behind everything, again, it wasn't super shocking or anything, but it was a fun reveal, and that whole moment with Kiyonosuke is what made me really like him and made him a favorite.Haruaki is easily the best character by far still, the highlight of the entire VN, I would've said Rikako is my second favorite character, but I don't know how to feel about how Myth handled her, it made me like her less for sure. So, my favorite character ranking now would be: Haruaki > Kiyonosuke > Yasu > Rikako > Mocchi > Haru > Chiemi > Hashimoto > Takumi > Yoshitsugu > Kaori = Kanzo > Meiko > Hisako > Old Wolf Guy > Tae, in that order.Overall, Raging Loop is a solid, enjoyable, mystery and horror with good characters and plot, the ending did fall flat and was disappointing, but the overall experience of everything before it was so great that I still consider it a fantastic VN. I really liked how they handled Haruaki, too, though. I'd be interested in reading what you have to say about other VNs!My husband and I finished Raging Loop a week or two ago and both ranked it as easily one of our highest disappointments ever after the final ending. That was a really fun, solid and incredible ride. It was a pretty great game, but feels like they didn’t know how to end it after throwing so much stuff during the story.Yeah, my thoughts are roughly the same as yours. Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts SoulSet is another one where knowledge of alternate timelines is required to get the true ending. Then two where if you play without a guide, you have to use a lot of trial and error to get the characters to survive: 428 Shibuya Scramble and Will a Wonderful World, though these are both very anime.YU-NO. I'd go as far as to say it's cringe, literally embarrassing to read Why bother with all the mystery and stuff if this was all just a simulation or whatever?I was super confused too but those after stories actually cleared it up a bit. The circumstances are explained pretty clearly if you ask me. Looking for games like Raging Loop/Nonary series where 'time travel' is used. PQube and developer KEMCO celebrate the spookiest time of the year and announce that Raging Loop is now available digitally and physically for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in Europe! 3/4ths of this game is amazing, and kept me awake for days on end, but once the exposition started, it became somewhat of a drag. And this wasn't tossed in randomly, it's for connecting a certain character, If you want to know I'll summarize it as much as I can.I feel like if it existed in its own self contained premise it would have been so much better. I wish we saw more of Mitsuji honestly, because I loved her from what little we got, if I had a choice, I'd pick ending up with her over Chiemi any day of the week ngl.Only thing that's left now is Revelations Mode extra scenes and the two secret endings, which I'm very interested to get, after that, time for Chaos;Head and Chaos;Child.Honestly, I preferred the secret endings over the actual ending to some degree.

In terms of VN recommedations, I think the The Nonary Games is the closest recommendation I can make currently. He was a really good anti-hero type character. Greeted by an enthusiastic response from critics and fans in Japan, the psychological horror visual novel will be out in other regions and Steam on the following dates: What about the mystery or curse or bloody anything! Bespectacled and mustached, he gyrates in his underwear while tapping keys, punching pads, and looping every sound at his disposal. Does this get explained in-game? About Most of the details regarding the mysteries of Yasumizu were revealed in the dairies of the former Nosato heads. On top of that, I'd go for the Danganronpa and Zero Escape trilogies, as well as AI: The Somnium Files. Like Kiyonosuke seemed like such a close-minded ass at first and then you realize he's actually a pretty good person and is pretty sharp, but he just tends to let his emotion cloud his judgement when it comes to Rikako. Do i really need to explain anything? I love visual novel games like shinsou noise and inochi no spare but I also like social games like kamihime and taimanin asagi battle arena. Just be sure that when you get to Chaos;Child DO NOT look up anything about it. The game was exclusive to smartphones and WiiU(! The psychological thriller meets visual novel is quite a ride. It’s Raging Loop! PQube and KEMCO have just announced that Raging Loop is headed to Europe and North America later this year. I couldn't stop reading the entire time, finished the entirety of Darkness in one sitting yesterday and the entirety of Myth and all the key collection that lead up to it today, played so much Raging Loop my head hurts now lmao, but it was just so addicting I couldn't stop.Darkness, Haru's route, was especially the best part of the entire VN quite easily, the reveal of Haruaki being the wolf was incredible and had me jumping in excitement, and the way he handled it and slowly lost his mind, his battle of wits with Hashimoto, his fucked up relationship with Haru and the mystery deepening and slowly unravelling, it was all amazing.
