The atmosphere and the voice that I loved about the comics was present in these stories and I got exactly what I hoped for from this.

Terrific stories starring Kiernan's manster-killer girl, Dancy Flammarion. I have a number of Keirnan books on my bookshelf waiting to be read, but this is the first thing I have read by her.
