The show was canceled at the end of its 5th season by Discovery Communications on January 21, 2012. An accountant sent to produce an evaluation of a tornado research project, and the scientist running the project pursue tornadoes and each other. Contrary to previous series about storm chasing, Tornado Chasers takes a more personal approach, conveying the chronological, authentic storm chasing experience.
