You will always get points for creativity! N Wabash Ave is the cross street. The liveliness of the place also seems to vary. The main reason why this place gets a 3 rather than a 4 is because service always seems to be spotty here. Overall would highly recommend this spot whether your a visitor or a local.

Pool tables, overside bocce ball court, shuffleboard, chess, and more such games can be found here. Staff was amazing; from greet to training. 32 reviews. It's a cool place to hang out at and is my favorite at the CAA but can get pricey pretty quickly. We have six draft beers available in pints or pitchers, alongside a selection of bottled beer, and a curated wine list from sommelier Andrew Algren. What's also nice is that you can have a few drinks and then walk to shake shack downstairs.

I will always update my reviews accordingly when a company/restaurant reaches out in such a way to better our future experiences with them. 19 friends. The only downside is if it's crowded you only get 30 mins on the pool table. Ive only had the fries as a snack so can't speak to the food options too much.

The perfect location to gather with friends for a good time without having to shout over a roar of music or too many voices.

It is classy but with a relaxed non-pretentious vibe. This place has the perfect ambience. I usually get the frozen drink which changes every season or so because their signature cocktails are all pretty average. Check it out! What an awesome gem in the city!

Pretzel was a good size and filling as a pre-dinner snack. I think it's one of those places that is just always busy and that the servers have a hard time keeping track of people. What a great find and spot to lounge located in the heart of downtown. It's all very elegant and historical, classic 1890s arch. Great place for groups but I can see this getting really packed on weekends and night peak times so beware. The Escape Game Chicago is an escape room located at 42 East Ontario Street Chicago, IL 60611. We had such a blast getting out of the cold and having a drink while playing games. This is available to everyone and not just hotel guests of the Athletic club. Useful 1. We played pool and foosball while enjoying some drinks from the bar. My friend hosted her 28th there and we were thoroughly impressed by the courteous and professional staff and abundant playing time. We were immediately given a fact sheet with so much history on it I had to take some "me time" just to read through it.

We ordered totachos here too and it was fully loaded with all the good stuff -- meat, green onions, sour cream, etc.

I believe they do allow under 21 to play games since it's a part of the overall hotel

There's something for everyone to enjoy!I love everything about the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel and its bars/ hangout spots inside.

It is nice that you have the option if you're in need of a snack. I'm not sure if you can make reservations to work around this especially if you have a big group, but I would check. I do know they have a happy hour menu so check that out as well.

Plenty of seating area and many variety of games to choose from (pool table, bocce ball, shuffleboard, foosball, etc)  we came during off peak hours around 2-4PM and it was mostly empty. It is cool during the summer. 1 check-in. Bar/game room located in the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel on the 2nd floor behind guest reception.
