As I watched later performances it was as if he was saying " See, I can be and do it the way you want! It's so cool!!! The cast use a type of wireless microphone which clips on the ear, and it gives a 'space age' feel which sits uneasily with the 'dawn of time' story that is being told. There is one male singer who performs solo and who has a voice to die for, but I'm still not sure of his name! I think all the recordings have positives and negatives, but this one in Geneva is really good. It was very good but a couple of sections were rather tiresome to view-one was quite noisy and irritating-for me and my husband anyway. It is a classic that will last a long time. !I bought the riverdance movie for my grandaughter for Christmas. I'm Irish (well, partly anyway) and I've always wanted to learn how to dance like that!! When Michael Flatley is performing himself, his performance is unique, as is his kinesthetic interpretation of the part. lol!!)). I have not seen anyone else with his charisma, and strength of presence on the scene. The inclusion of the Moscow Folk Ballet Company is an odd choice. I think all the recordings have positives and negatives, but this one in Geneva is really good. This is a spectacular rendition (71 minutes) of the original show.
