So the problem was with the double shot filter.A couple grains of coffee were stuck in the tiny hole on the bottom of the double shot filter. Resist the temptation to toss the machine, bring it back to the shop or call for service.

The descaling works, I had this exact same issue and followed the vinegar steps above and yes it started pumping water again without the portafilter. I thought it was fixed! If coffee still won't flow then your pump may be failing and will need to be replaced. After descaling I really thought it would solve it but to no avail! Therefore, if you load your coffee maker with fine ground coffee, check these elements at least once a week. I tried removing the screws on top - no go. It'll be my next step but I would like to have your advice on this.

The water pump works fine because I can get some water out when it's in Hot Water mode.

This got it working again!If the water is getting into the de Longhi coffee holder but not coming out and the holder's round metal mesh is clear then the spring-loaded little valve in the middle of the round black plastic mesh-holder may be stuck. Behind it was the conical spring, it fell out. Do you have any idea why there is no coffee coming out? If the pump is clogged, descale the machine by using lemon juice.

A brew head is a device, which dispenses water into coffee. This is to wash off the descaler from steps mentioned above.Load another tank of water if the acid smell continues.Once done, unplug the plug.

It's also possible that the brew head screen has becomed clogged; you can remove this with a phillips head screwdriver and inspect it as you did the coffee basket screen. If your coffee machine was supplied with pins, use them.

Take the mesh off its black plastic base and push hard on the little dimple in the middle of the base.
