It needs something maybe some garlic. Sometimes you don’t even see it at all, depending on how they choose to butcher it.
Or sometimes, a restaurant will get an entire sub-primal of ribeye in (basically, a whole prime rib), and butcher it themselves. I would use more sugar next time as I like mine more on the sweeter side. And yes, I have tried this method before I discovered the correct way to flavor my steaks. This is definitely enough marinade for six large steaks. She lives in San Francisco and loves teaching cooking classes.

I bet you meant the lemon being more bitter than the orange… no extra sugar needed.I’m going to try this glaze over the weekend on a chuck roast in the crock pot. I think it would work great! If you attempted to make ‘tips’ from this larger roast, it’s going to be a very chewy experience, unless you plan to braise them.Confused yet? Brian Pylant

I normally don't marinate or rub ribeyes as I like the flavor of the meat to come through.
It would give some serious smokey flavor to the glaze… I’m not sure I would use it for this, but if you do, go light on it!Made this last night to glaze over some salmon, it was fantastic. Rating: 4 stars

All I had was Southern Comfort and it turned out great. 4 steaks I think I will make this again but next time definatly try a 24 hour marinate; I might also try it will chicken breasts.
I’ll bet you could make a sweet version of the glaze by omitting the ketchup and worcestershire and maybe fooling around a little with it.
My Dad would get a tag for one every few years and we would stock the freezer.
Zing.Makes about a cup to 1 1/2 cups… Very easy to double or triple though. Only thing I would change is that I would like a little sweeter flavor and will add more brown sugar next time and maybe make extra marinade so that I can baste the steaks while they cook. 124 Ratings

When I say this is an all-purpose, any time glaze, I mean it.Put it on chicken, pork, beef, or even grilled tofu. Using a serving spoon, add Orange Bourbon Glaze to steak. What a great tasting glaze!
